ugh....

Not feeling so well today this is the first pregnancy where I have been nauseous through the whole pregnancy and smell and food aversions still abound on top of that my sinuses are killing me and @ 26 wks I feel like we still have sooo much to do to prepare for the arrival of the twins.

Carrying twins is sooo much harder than just one baby, I'm not liking not being able to get around as well this soon in the pregnancy. It's exciting and daunting at the same time thinking of all the things we will need or rather trying to figure out what i will need.

so excited to go to my appointment tomorrow and check up on the twins. It's crazy for me to be showing at 19 wks but boy am I  LOL, which is funny considering at the beginning of my pregnancy i lost 7 lbs and I have only gained back 4.

Homeschooling...

Well my son doen't want to try it out until  next school year so I have decided to supplement the things I feel are lacking in his school , oredered some abeka math books on ebay , I would like to get some science books as well. What curriculums are good any suggestions????

Homeschooling

I'm seriously considering homeschooling my son next year I really feel like even with the g.a.t.e program at his school that he still is not challenged enough in his regular class and therefore it is starting to affect his grades. But then I wonder whether i am qualified to homeschool my son , so many questions. I just want my son to thrive he is soo smart and I am worried that the traditional school setting will squash his spirit.  Thoughts?????

and some news we have recently found out that my husbands daughter is pregnant, so we will be Grandpa and stepgrandma sometime in october =).

Made this cake for my good friend's birthday last week...

I got the cake and frosting recipe from this blog   http://maricucu.blogspot.com/2009/11/current-favorite-birthday-cake.html   You can find the frosting recipe there as well it's amazing!!! I  have made this cake before but decided to change it up this time by adding some strawberries between the layers and on top.

Lebanese salad

as we were moving I ran across this recipe in a cookbook entitled The Healthy Kitchen by Andrew Weil and Rosie Daley  we prepared it to accompany dinner last night and it wa delicious I really could have eaten the whole thing!

Hubby had to try to make it fancy by decoratively placing some mint.

2 cucumbers,peeled and diced
4 Roma tomtaoes,diced
1 red onion,diced
1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1 clove of garlic(we used more we love garlic ) minced
3 tablespoons chopped fresh spearmint or 1 tablespoon dried mint leaves

1/4 cup  pitted ,sliced black olives(Kalamata or oil cured
1 cup cubed or crumbled feta cheese
salt and pepper to taste

toss all the ingredients together  ,chill before serving...Enjoy =)
